World Disability Day Celebrated at Teliamura.

Teliamura, December 03: The Khowai District Rehabilitation Center celebrated World Disability Day at the Teliamura town hall on Sunday. Teliamura Municipality Chairman Rupak Sarkar lit the lamp to mark the beginning of the event. He was joined by Vice Chairman Madhusudan Roy, District Rehabilitation Officer Dr. Dipti Biswas Roy, Teliamura School Inspector Biswajit Debbarma, and others. In his speech, Sarkar said that people with disabilities are an integral part of society. They have the same rights to live as anyone else. He urged everyone to be more caring towards people with disabilities and not to neglect them. Various competitions were held for people with disabilities at the event. The winners were awarded prizes by the guests.
