Tributes poured on Indira Gandhi’s death anniversary

Sonamura, October 31: Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee president, Ashish Kumar Saha along with several other congress leaders on Tuesday paid floral tribute to Former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi on her 40th death anniversary at Sonamura Congress Bhawan. A series of events were organised by the congress party including distribution of clothes to 400 needy people, free medical treatment to 300 locals, followed by distribution of fruits and sweets and the event was finally concluded by offering lunch to all the attendees of the event. In his tribute message, Ashish Kumar Saha said that Indira Gandhi continued to be a source of inspiration for the country. He added, “Today, we solemnly remember and pay our humble tribute to Indira Gandhi ji, whose exemplary leadership and dedicated service towards the empowerment of the marginalised is a source of eternal inspiration for the nation. She also played a pivotal role in the creation of Bangladesh and ensuring the well-being of their citizens” During his discussion, Saha also urged the citizens to come together in order to defeat the undemocratic rule of BJP in the entire nation in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on 2024.
