Agartala, December 11, 2023: In a significant development for aspiring young athletes, representatives from the state are gearing up to showcase their prowess at the national level in the School Games Federation of India Championship. The championship will witness participants from various age categories competing in different sports disciplines.
Gymnasts in the 14, 17, and 19-year age brackets will be heading to Delhi to compete, showcasing their skills in the dynamic field of gymnastics. Meanwhile, athletes in the 14-year category will be making their mark in athletics in the vibrant city of Lucknow. The 17-year-old badminton players, on the other hand, will proudly represent their state in Gujarat.
The official jersey handover ceremony took place on Monday at NSRCC, where athletes received their state jerseys, symbolizing their representation on the national stage. The ceremony was attended by esteemed officials from the State Youth Affairs and Sports Department, including Chief Sattyabrata Nath, Deputy Chief Dipa Karmakar, and joint secretary of the Aipura School Sports Board, Paemang Mog, among others.
