Special Surgical Eye Camp in Gomati District Hospital.

Agartala, 06th December: A Special Surgical Eye Camp today conducted in Gomati District Hospital. A team of doctors led by Dr. Rabindra Das who is the SPO of Blindness Control programme of Tripura, has undertaken the surgery.

Dr. Chhandam Acharjee, eye surgeon of the hospital informed that total 40 Nos of surgery have been done on the patients in today’s camp. The patients came across from the District took the benefits of the camp. A part from this, in last 2 months over 100 nos of surgeries have been conducted in Gomati District Hospital. It is pertinent to mention here that surgical department of Gomati District Hospital is very well known and bears the reputation to be undertaking the complex surgeries in the last few years. Eye department of the Hospital is now trying to follow the trend of main surgical unit. Dr. Samuel Debbarma, Post Graduate student, Dr. Sulata Reang and other staff have also participated in the camp to provide the services.
