Agartala, December 11, 2023: In a momentous event held at the Raj Bhavan, Agartala, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vikshit Bharat @2047 portal. The ceremony, graced by the presence of the Governor and attended by Vice-Chancellors, Directors, teachers, and students from various universities and educational institutions, marked a significant step towards envisioning a developed India by 2047.
During the virtual meeting, Prime Minister Modi addressed the collective vision and determination required for achieving a developed India. The live broadcast reached educational leaders and participants across the country, fostering a nationwide dialogue on the transformative journey ahead.
Following the Prime Minister’s insightful address, a multi-sector workshop unfolded at Raj Bhavan, encouraging an exchange of views on the envisioned developed India. Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, speaking on the occasion, underscored the pivotal role of the education sector, especially the teachers’ community, in realizing the ambitious program set forth by Prime Minister Modi.
Governor Nallu emphasized the responsibility of teachers in nurturing a new generation of students, instilling in them a sense of patriotism and commitment to the nation. He highlighted the importance of motivating students to innovate in alignment with environmental conditions for the holistic development of the country. The Governor also stressed the practical application of various educational initiatives, proudly mentioning Tripura’s growing recognition as an education hub.
The exchange meeting was conducted by Tripura Central University Vice-Chancellor Gangaprasad Prasain. Distinguished individuals present included NIT Agartala Dean Professor Swapan Bhowmik, Tripura Triple IT Director Abhay Kumar, Tripura University Economics Professor Indranil Bhowmik, NIT Agartala Professor Suman Deb, National Forensic Science University Assistant Professor Arpan Dutta, ICFAI University Vice-Chancellor Priyangshu Barathakur, among others.
Expressing their views on the future of India’s development, students from various educational institutions contributed valuable insights during the meeting. Their focus encompassed crucial aspects such as inclusive income generation, the expansion of work-oriented education, environmental protection, industrialization, and ensuring national safety. The event provided a platform for diverse voices to contribute to the ongoing discourse on shaping the future of the nation.
