Police Officer’s House Robbed!

Sonamura, November 25: A police officer’s house was robbed in broad daylight in the Switch Gate area of Melaghar-Sonamura road, on Saturday. The thieves stole jewelry worth Rs. 2.5 lakh from the house.

The house is inhabited by Police Officer Kabir Hossain and his brother Tajul Islam. Kabir Hossain told the media that he was at work when the robbery took place. He said that his wife and sister-in-law were in the kitchen when the thieves struck. The thieves managed to escape for the spot. Hossain said that he has filed a complaint with the police. He is hopeful that the thieves will be caught soon.
