New Delhi, December 10, 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing beneficiaries of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ on Saturday, took a veiled dig at the Congress, asserting that if previous governments had worked honestly, guarantees made by him would have been fulfilled half a century ago.
During his address, Modi highlighted the importance of honest governance and criticized political parties that resort to false announcements without achieving tangible results.
“If those who ran governments for decades had worked honestly, then guarantees given by me would have been fulfilled 50 years ago,” remarked Modi, emphasizing the need for a commitment to service over political selfishness.
The prime minister expressed gratitude to voters for their trust in the “Modi’s Guarantee,” citing the recent state assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh as evidence of the strength in his leadership.
“The results of the recent state assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh have made it clear that there is strength in Modi’s guarantee only!” stated Modi.
The results of the recent Assembly Elections in the country are still being discussed a lot. These results have made it clear that there is strength in Modi's Guarantee only!

The BJP secured a significant victory in the elections, wresting control from the incumbent Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and retaining power in Madhya Pradesh. The outcomes solidified the party’s influence in the Hindi heartland and provided a considerable boost to Modi’s standing ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
In Chhattisgarh, the BJP secured an absolute majority with 54 seats out of 90, while the Congress trailed with 35 seats. Rajasthan witnessed the saffron party winning 115 out of 199 seats. In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP overcame anti-incumbency, securing 163 seats in the 230-member assembly.
However, the BJP faced a setback in Telangana, where it secured only eight seats in the 119-member assembly. Congress emerged victorious, ousting K Chandrasekhar Rao’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Revanth Reddy of the Congress was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Telangana on Thursday.
