NGO donates hearing aid to patients

Dharmanagar, November 01: A Non-Governmental Organisation, Saksham Charitable Trust in partnership with the Rotary club and Rotaract club of Dharmanagar donated hearing aids to the hearing impaired or those who have hearing problems at the Ardhendu Bhattacharya Smriti Bhavan, Dharmanagar. The program organised on Wednesday was attended by the the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly, Biswabandhu Sen, South District Magistrate, Debapriyo Bardhan, the Chairman of Dharmnagar Municipal Council, Pradyut De Sarkar, Social Worker, Shyamal Kanti Nath and several others. In his inaugural address, Sen expressed his gratitude to the various private organizations that proactively engage in availing different types of hearing devices to aid those who need them. He also assured that a full functional DDRC centre will be established in Dharmanagar soon, from where all the locals can easily get their documentation done easily.
