Minister Tinku Roy Inaugurates 16th Kailasahar Book Fair

Kailasahar, June 30: The state social welfare and social education minister, Tinku Roy, inaugurated the 16th Kailasahar Book Fair at Bhagini Nivedita Higher Secondary School on Sunday.

The event was attended by notable figures including Unakoti Zilla Parishad Chairman Amalendu Das, District Magistrate Dilip Kumar Chakma, Additional SDM Naba Kumar Jamatia, and Unakoti Zilla Parishad Deputy Chairman Shyamal Das.

During the ceremony, Minister Tinku Roy unveiled a book on Kailasahar, authored by the eminent poet, writer, and teacher at Kailashahar Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya, Shanthasree Majumder.

The dignitaries emphasized the importance of reading books in the digital age. They highlighted that gaining knowledge through books is essential for building a society and contributing to national development.

The fair features approximately 23 book stalls organized by the All Tripura Book Sellers and Publishers and the Tripura Publishers Guild, along with 5 local stalls.
