Agartala, December 18, 2023: In a ceremony held at the civil secretariat’s conference hall on Monday, Sushanta Chowdhury, the Minister of Food and Civil Supplies department, distributed appointment letters to 38 newly appointed Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) who secured positions through the Joint Recruitment Board Tripura (JRBT). During the event, the minister emphasized the importance of providing better service to the people of the state.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury urged the newly appointed LDCs to approach their roles with honesty, efficiency, and sincerity. He encouraged them to serve as guides to their seniors, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
“No matter the position you hold, it is essential to develop the ability to lead oneself at work. The government is committed to providing jobs to eligible candidates through JRBT with transparency, adhering to all norms and guidelines,” stated the minister.
Acknowledging the time taken to complete the recruitment process, Minister Chowdhury highlighted the significance of maintaining transparency in the process. He stressed the need for improved and quality services for the people of the state, emphasizing the importance of good governance.
“The employees of the Food Department play a crucial role in upholding the public distribution system (PDS). It is imperative for them to ensure a robust PDS system across the state, especially in remote areas, to prevent any beneficiaries from being deprived of essential services,” added Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
The offer distribution function saw the presence of key officials, including Special Secretary of the Food Department Ravel Hemendra Kumar and Additional Secretary and Director of the Department Nirmal Adhikari. The event marked a significant step in bolstering the state’s administrative workforce and promoting a commitment to efficient public service delivery.
