Minister Noatia inaugurates multiple development projects at Jolaibari

Shantir Bazar, March 12: Minister for tribal welfare, Sukla Charan Noatia, on Tuesday inaugurated five development projects in the Jolaibari constituency. The minister was accompanied by PWD Executive Engineer, Tapas Marak, SDO of Shantir Bazar PWD, Prabir Baran Das, SDO of Baikhora PWD, Tamal Das, Jolaibari BDO, Ashok Mog, and several others.

Bridge construction in West Pilak amounts to a total cost of Rs 1.67 crore, two bridges at Kowaifung costing Rs 3.57 and Rs 3.11 crore were inaugurated. The road from Kowaifung to Panjiroy was also inaugurated. Foundation stone of a bridge that will be constructed to connect two villages in the Kalshi area was also laid on Tuesday. The total cost of these five projects is estimated to be Rs 13 crore.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Noatia said that the bridges will improve connectivity in the remote areas of Jolaibari. He said that the people of the Kowaifung area had been facing a lot of problems due to the lack of bridges.

Noatia also said that he is committed to developing Jolaibari constituency into a model constituency.
