Liquor Shops and Bars in Uttarakhand to Close on January 22 for Ayodhya Ram Mandir Ceremony

Dehradun, January 13, 2024: In light of the consecration ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, liquor shops and bars in Uttarakhand are set to remain closed for the day. The decision was communicated through an order issued by Excise Commissioner Hari Chandra Semwal on Friday.

According to the order, liquor license holders across the state will not be eligible for any compensation or claims due to the mandated closure on January 22.
