Almost a decade ago, tragedy struck the Sarkar family when Sunil Sarkar, Sentu’s father, succumbed to a heart ailment. Faced with the responsibility of supporting his family, Sentu, along with his mother Bili Rani Sarkar, brother Montu Sarkar, and sister Shravani Sarkar, found strength in unity. While Montu pursued a career in software engineering and Shravani delved into her studies at Ramakrishna Mahavidyalaya, Sentu took a bold step to initiate a second-hand clothing business, determined to provide for his family.
Amidst financial challenges, Sentu’s passion for cricket remained unwavering. Despite withdrawing from formal education to meet the family’s financial needs, he continued to grace the cricket field. Each day, he toiled under the scorching sun, balancing the demands of work and the love for his favorite sport. Through sheer determination, Sentu emerged as a rising star in the local cricketing scene, turning obstacles into stepping stones.
