Financial Literacy: Combined efforts of RBI, BAPCL, and the CFL centers are yielding positive results in Tripura.

Agartala, Tripura, Dec 03: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has taken proactive measures to address the imperative need for financial literacy in the digital era by establishing Centers for Financial Literacy (CFL) across Tripura. The “Money Wise” CFL initiative has successfully been rolled out in all block-level areas, totaling twenty-eight centers throughout the state, with the primary objective of bridging the gap between technology and public trust in financial matters.

A significant contributor to the success of these CFL centers has been the collaboration with the Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited (BAPCL), which has established ten offices in each of Tripura’s eight districts. This partnership has played a pivotal role in making financial education accessible to the general population, aligning with the broader goal of fostering financial literacy.

Farukul Islam, the State Head of the CFL project for BAPCL, emphasized the company’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the CFL project. “Our dedicated efforts are geared towards the successful execution of the CFL project, contributing to the financial literacy of the people in the state,” stated Islam.

Sudip Majumder, the Managing Director of BAPCL, underscored the comprehensive monitoring efforts undertaken at the central level from Udaipur. This meticulous oversight ensures the efficient functioning of CFL centers, thereby enhancing their impact on financial education. Officials associated with the CFL project are actively engaged in conducting financial literacy campaigns across the state, aiming to provide valuable knowledge to the public not only in terms of financial literacy but also in fostering an understanding of various developmental aspects.
