Crowd Storms Police Station!

Charilam, December 7, 2023: In a scene reminding of bollywood movies, a crowd of people stormed a police station at Bishalgarh on Thursday to demand the release of an innocent man who had been arrested for robbery. The incident took place at the Bishalgarh bypass area where the driver of a lorry truck was taken to a rubber plantation and was robbed of Rs. 2.5 lakh. The Bishalgarh police arrested a man named Shubhankar Das for the robbery. However, the local residents claimed that the real culprits were still roaming freely. Enraged by the police’s inaction, the residents caught the accused, Bidyut Sarkar, and brought him to the police station. They demanded that Shubhankar Das be released. The crowd stormed the police station and refused to leave until their demands were met.
