Anti- Narcotic Raid: 10,000 cannabis plants destroyed.

Boxanagar Dec 03: In an attempt towards achieving the goal of a drug- free state, police of Sonamura police station led by OC Paritosh Das along with CRPF personnel destroyed approximately 10,000 cannabis plants in Khedabari and Barmura areas on Sunday.

OC Paritosh Das said, “We had information from specific sources about secret plantation of cannabis in a few areas. Accordingly, the operation started on Sunday morning took approximately 4 hours to destroy the illegal cannabis plantation in around 5 acres of land”.

All the plants were cut off and later set on fire, said police. The police official also added that such operations will continue in coming days.
