Agartala, March 18: Agriculture Research Centers (ARCs) in Tripura are pivotal in ensuring farmers stay ahead in production by providing essential resources and training. Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu emphasized this during his visit to the State Agriculture Research Station in Arundhatinagar on Monday.
The Joint Director of the State Agriculture Research Station, Dr. Uttam Saha, warmly welcomed the Governor, along with other department officials. In a productive exchange, the Joint Director elaborated on various programs and the functioning of the Research Station.
The State Agriculture Research Station’s documentary showcased its diverse initiatives, including seed quality enhancement, pest management, and sustainable farming practices. The Governor also explored the seed museum, observed demonstration cultivation areas for paddy and other crops, and inspected organically grown produce.
Additionally, he visited the Seed Testing Laboratory and the Mobile Soil Testing Van.These efforts underscore the commitment of ARCs to empower farmers with knowledge, technology, and resources, contributing to agricultural growth and food security in Tripura.
