Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Aims for Clean Sweep in 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, Says Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

January 17, 2024: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to clinch victory in all 13 Lok Sabha seats during the upcoming 2024 elections. Mann’s statement follows the formal announcement of the INDIA alliance for the Chandigarh polls by AAP.

The decision-making process involved intensive discussions, leading to the conclusion that AAP would nominate candidates for the mayoral positions in the Chandigarh mayor polls. Simultaneously, the Congress party would reveal its candidates for the positions of senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor.

This marks the INDIA bloc’s inaugural participation in an election, with AAP Rajya Sabha leader Raghav Chaddha highlighting that the alliance between AAP and Congress in the Chandigarh polls serves as a curtain-raiser for the impending Lok Sabha elections.

On Tuesday, after the official announcement of the mayoral polls, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal engaged in discussions with Congress Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. During the meeting, various issues were deliberated upon, and the commitment to jointly contest the upcoming elections was further solidified, as stated by Raghav Chaddha.
