9-Year-Old ‘raped’ at Amarpur, Suspect Apprehended

Amarpur, December 13: In a distressing incident, the Birganj police at Amarpur, have apprehended a suspect accused of raping a 9-year-old girl. The suspect has been identified as Vijay Mani Rupini, aged 41, residing at the Gamaku area under the jurisdiction of the Birganj police.The incident came to light on Tuesday Night when the father of the victim lodged a written complaint at Birganj Police Station. According to the complaint, his fourth-grade daughter had beena victim of rape committed by Vijay Mani Rupini.The father of the victim said that the incident took place two months ago but, the young girl had refrained from disclosing the traumatic experience out of fear. It was only after two months had passed that she disclosed the incident to her family. Promptly responding to the file complaint, the police detained Vijay Mani Rupini from his residence and brought him to the police station on Tuesday night. Furthermore, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter to gather evidence and verify the allegations.
