New Delhi, February, 08, 2024: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge unveiled a ‘Black Paper’ on Thursday, countering the government’s anticipated ‘White Paper’. The document, according to the party, outlines the government’s purported failures concerning unemployment, inflation, and agrarian distress.
During the release of the ‘Black Paper’, Kharge criticized the government, asserting that it had faltered on economic matters.
While the government’s ‘White Paper’ is yet to be disclosed, BJP leader and Standing Committee on Finance chairman Jayant Sinha revealed on Wednesday that it would shed light on the country’s economic challenges when the Congress-led UPA relinquished power and how the current administration engineered a turnaround.
Participating in a Lok Sabha debate on the interim Budget, Sinha highlighted that India ranked among the ‘fragile five’ economies globally during the previous UPA regime in 2013.
