Patient’s son beaten by security guard, public reacts!

Agartala, November 07: A patient’s son was beaten severely by a female private security guard at Tripura Medical College, Hapania on Tuesday. Patients’ relatives who came to visit the respective patients at the Female Medicine Department of the hospital on Tuesday morning alleged that a female security guard, Shobita had been behaving poorly towards the family members of all the patients waiting outside the ward.

In an attempt to accompany his mother for assistance, a young man requested the security guard to allow him to enter in the ward. The guard not only refused his request but also physically assaulted the young man, inflicting severe injuries, including a head injury.

The man was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. A group of patients’ relatives collectively submitted a written complaint to the Superintendent of the Hospital and the hospital authority ensured them to take strict action against the defaulter after a formal inquiry.
